Our mission at Eastern Carolina Veternary Referral (ECVR) is to provide premium quality, state of the art medical and surgical care to our small animal patients and their owners while meeting the needs of consulting veterinarians as an extension of their veterinary health care team.
Meet Our Professional Staff
Dr. Ned Williams received his DVM degree from Colorado State University in 1993. He completed a medical and surgical internship at the University of Missouri in 1994 and a three year surgical residency in 1997. He remained as faculty at the University of Missouri until 1998, when he joined Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, NC as the Director of surgical services. In 2002 he moved to Wilmington, NC and developed Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral. Dr. Williams has been involved with numerous research projects addressing orthopedic conditions, especially with respect to gait analysis, and was a 1998 recipient of the Mark Bloomberg Memorial Research Award from the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. Dr. Williams is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Rehabilitation is under the supervision of Stacie Williams OTR/L, CHT. Stacie has been a therapist in the human field for over 15 years. She has been treating the canine/feline population for over 7 years and is enrolled and near completion of a national Canine Certification program through the University of Tennessee.
